Bastille Day celebrations across the Carolinas

For French and Americans alike, July is a month of national celebrations! Only 10 days after Independence Day, France commemorates the storming of the Bastille. The French-American community celebrated the National Day in style across the Carolinas.

The Charlotte French Festival 2019 was a great success! Merci y'all to 2,600+ visitors, 100+ volunteers, 30+ Vendors and Sponsors, entertainers, artists, and numerous dogs... a l'année prochaine!

Columbia, SC kicked-off the day for a delicious brunch at Crêpes et Croissants where they watched the live parade on the Champs-Élysées. They then headed to the Columbia Museum of Art (CAM) for a guided tour of French art .. in original language!

The Raleigh-Greensboro locals met mid-way in Gibsonville at the French-owned-and-operated Burke Manor Inn to wrap-up the festivities with pastis, pétanque tournament, swim & sparkles and of course …. a loud and vibrant Marseillaise!

Merci beaucoup to all the organisers, volunteers and participants for sharing these special moments.

Allons enfants de la Patrie !
