Dear Friends,
2019 was a great year for FACCC with a lot of major changes and additions. Our executive team grew and we now have 7 dedicated team members ready to support our members' needs.
Of course the highlight of the year for the French Business Community was our well attended Business Awards Gala in October. The immense success of this event was a testimony to the vibrancy of the dense network of French or French related companies in the two Carolinas and to the tremendous work done by Raphaële Moreau-Horwin.
Our Economic Development Team was extremely active. Thomas Prieur took three missions to France with Ryan Combs of RTRP to meet potential partners there and laying the ground work to establishing partnerships with regions especially Lyon. Gérard Auvergne worked on missions from France to the Triangle, helping French companies establish themselves in the USA. Alain Meyran helped develop an action and services plan.
In addition, Alexandra Lederer and Thomas Prieur started the French Techies in November, and we are excited to see a sizeable group being formed around the theme of technology.
Futhermore, Maressa Cuenca and Alexandre Garenne started events and services in Columbia and Charleston. Look for the upcoming events there.
Throughout 2019 we have established stronger links with: our French partners at the Embassy, our local partners such as RTRP, EDPNC, The Upstate Alliance. We have also added some major names to our members' list including Michelin, Descours & Cabaud, Wells Fargo, Beneteau, the Quartz Corporation, Schneider Electric, Xytel, and TV5 Monde.
