The French Cultural Institute hosted its annual IWD (International Women's Day) celebration in early March: a deeply inspiring event that brings together a dynamic group of women from industries spanning biotech, business, cybersecurity, human services, education, and more.
This event was held in partnership with the FACCC, along with other local organizations that are deeply committed to elevating women across sectors:
The Alliance Française of Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill
SKEMA Business School USA
Carolina Women+ in Tech
Women In Bio
Dress for Success
Women in Cybersecurity
Attendees not only gained insights into the mission of each organization and the impactful ways they empower women, but also participated in engaging discussions, sharing experiences, challenges, and strategies for success. This collaborative atmosphere both strengthened professional bonds and ignited new ideas and opportunities for growth.
FACCC President Cedric Decarpentrie shares: “I’m proud to support this International Women’s Day event organized by several organizations committed to advancing the place of women in business and leadership in our community. Empowering women is not just about equity - it strengthens our entire economic and social ecosystem!”
The evening was filled with powerful conversations, meaningful connections, and a genuine spirit of community and solidarity. It was a beautiful celebration of women – and it truly illustrated the profound difference that can be made when organizations and individuals come together to support women and drive positive change.
