What personal information do we collect and how do we use it?

Contact Information:
When you apply for membership or register for events and services via the Site, we collect your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and other contact details. We use this information to administer mailing lists, send requested communications, respond to inquiries, manage event registrations, and fulfill other purposes related to the Service. Your contact information may also be included in the FACC Carolinas Members Directory.

Profile Information:
You may provide additional details about your business, interests, background, and products or services you offer or seek. This information helps us tailor newsletters, opportunities, and content relevant to your profile and track the effectiveness of our Site and Service. Profile data is stored in our CRM system.

Directory Information:
A key benefit of FACC Carolinas membership is networking. Accordingly, your contact and profile information will be made available to other FACC Carolinas Members and may be shared with other French Chambers of Commerce worldwide. If you prefer not to have your information shared in this way, please do not submit it.

Employment Information:
If you participate in our employment services, you may provide information about your skills, experience, education, or job openings you wish to fill. Anonymous summaries of such information may be accessible to FACC Carolinas Members seeking employment or talent. Aggregated data may also be used to provide community insights.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal information as necessary to perform our contract with you (e.g., providing membership and event services) or based on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Site and Service.

How long do we keep your personal information?

We retain your information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described here. Member data is kept for the duration of your membership and deleted upon termination unless retention is required by law. Prospective member data used for outreach is kept no longer than 3 years from the last interaction. Data collected via cookies or trackers is retained no longer than 13 months without renewed consent. Other data is kept only as needed for Site functionality.
